Pre-heat oven to 350 F. In a stand mixer fitted with the paddle cream together butter and both sugars for 2-3 minutes until all mixed and fluffy.
Add the egg and vanilla to the mixing bowl and mix together with the butter mixture. Add peanut butter and mix until all creamy.
Add the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Slowly mix until just combined. Add oats and chocolate chips. Slowly mix until evenly distributed.
Scoop dough into 12 even sized balls spaced at least 2 cms apart on the cookie sheet. Bake for 9 minutes. Allow to cool on the pan for 1 minute after removing from oven. Move to a cooling rack.
